Low Carb Bread

I don’t know about you but bread is one of the hardest things for me to give up when I am counting carbs. I have always eaten a lot of sandwiches with thick slices of white bread and it is hard for me to give that up. I have found several low carb breads that really do help to keep my bread appetite in check when on my low carb diet.

Bob’s Red Mill bread mix is great for a home cooked loaf of bread that will really fit in well with any meal. With 5g of net carbs, instead of the 20 or 30g you find with regular bread this is a great alternative for those times when you absolutely have to have a sandwich or a slice of bread. You can read more about it here Low Carb Bread.

Another part of a good dinner or supper for me has been the biscuits. I was raised on good biscuits for every meal and that was another food I really missed when I had to go low carb. A couple of normal biscuits can blow your carb count clear out of the water if you are not careful. Carbquick makes a baking mix, you just have to add water, that gives you fluffy biscuits for only 5 grams each of carbohydrates. You can also make pancakes and pizza dough with the mix. Imagine eating a pizza again chocked full of meats and cheese. Nothing could be easier than mixing this up with water. You can find out more about Carbquick here Low Carb Biscuits.

Now here’s great news, what about a delicious, chocolaty brownie for dessert that only has 1.5 grams net carbs and is filled with healthy protein and fiber? Doesn’t that sound like a great treat after your meal of meat and vegetables? I thought so.

This sugar free brownie mix just requires a few ingredients other that what is in the box and you have a great way to curb your chocolate cravings. Find out how to get a box of these by clicking here Healthy Brownies.
