One of the main complaints with a no carb food diet or a low carb food diet is they get boring. People complain about the limited amount of allowed foods and start to get cravings for other things including bread and fruits. I don’t recommend a complete no carb diet because you need to have some carbohydrates and other nutrients that are only found in grains, fruits, and vegetables. Most low carb diets set a limit of 40 to 80 grams of carbohydrates a day. This seems like a small amount of grams but if you are smart and watch what you eat it can really add a lot of variation into the diet.
For example, one cup of loose leaf lettuce only contains about 2 grams of carbs. You can spice this up with oil and vinegar dressing with some spices for a nice treat. Alot of vegetables actually have very few carbs and can be eaten if you are working on a low carb as opposed to no carb diet. Green and red peppers only have about 3 grams of carbs per pepper. A good meal would be to take a red pepper, cut the top off and remove the seeds. Next fill the pepper with ground beef and bake in the oven. I have cooked these many times and they are really delicious.
The key to any diet is sticking with it until it works. Some people will rotate diets to relieve the monotony. For example, you could alternate this with chinese weight loss tea. This way you won’t get bored eating the same things for weeks at a time. It also gives you something to look forward to when you change diets. A diet based on no carb foods and low carb foods can be very successful but you need to add variety if you plan to stay on it long.
